Soak it in, everyone, we’re halfway through the year and heading into the heart of the summer. We have sweltering heat on the east coast, and over here in Colorado we’re fighting some wildfires which are no bueno. Luckily we still have escape routes from the heat/drought/humidity like our trusty swimming pools, secret river jumping spots, and maybe even a boat on some cool lake. Something about music on the speakers this time of year is different, it has much more potential to invade your eardrums and make for a good time. This July mix is a break in between guest mixes where I figured I’d dig around for some fun summer-y jams for y’all. A few of them have been getting heavy rotation, while others have been pulled straight outta the archives. Tracklist as follows, and as usual - enjoy, pass it on.

Geometric Afghan has enlisted the homie Joey T of Zealous Knock for the guest mix offered this month. Producing for a small army of Ohio rappers and concocting some of his own saucy beats, this link up made too much sense to pass up.
